Translation |
Sacred to Silvanus Dendrophorus
M. Poblicius Hilarus, pearl dealer, president for life, with his sons Magnus and Harmonianus has made (this monument, chapel?) from his own money, to the dendrophori of the Great Mother of Gods.
|
Notes on the source | The inscription appears to have marked a niche or a small chapel in the Basilica Hilariana, in which presumably a statue of Silvanus was placed. |
