Notes on the source
Liu (2009: 182-183) assumes a relation to M. Octavius Carpus, curator of the collegium Herculis Salutaris c(o)hortis primae sagariorum, but this reading should be rejected for cohortis primae saccariorum (see notes to CIL O6, 00339)
