Translation
To the God-Spirits of the Dead. Lucius Antonius Peculiaris, sevir Augustalis, quinquennalis of the guild of carpenters/builders of Ostia during the 25th lustrum has made this for himself and Antonia Soteris, his exceptional wife, with whom he lived fifty years.
Notes on the source Dated by Verboven: the 25th 'lustrum' of the 'collegium' fell between 178 and 186 CE. So 177 CE is a hard postquem date. Since he refers to his 50 year marriage, Peculiaris must have been c. 70 when the inscription was erected. Assuming that he was freedman (which is not entirely certain) he must have been at least thirty years old before achieving junior offices in the 'collegium' and presumably considerably older.
