Translation
To Publius Claudius Horatius Abascantianus, (his) sweetest son. His father Publius Claudius Abascantus, twice quinquennalis of the corporation of the dendrophori of Ostia (has set up this statue).
(on the right hand side of the base:)
I, Marcus Antius Crescens Calpurnianus, pontifex of Vulcanus and (curator) of the sacred buildings have given permission for this child's statue to be set up on the field the Mother of Gods. The eigth day befor the kalends of April (25 March) during the consulship of Plautianus, for the second time and Geta.
