Translation |
Lucius Sextilius Seleucus, decurio has given as a gift to to the guild of clothmen … with a marble base and two candleholders in bronze with the effigy of a Cupid holding wicker baskets. In addition to this he has given as a gift to the public moneybox of the above mentioned guild 5000 denarii so that from the interest of 1% (a month) of this amount, which makes yearly 600 denarii (which) are to be paid out from the moneybox, on the 8th day before the kalends of October, the birthday of the Deified Augustus.
