An inscription on the pedestal of a statue dedicated by the sixteen decuriae of the guild to one of their most successful magistrates, who had obtained the ornamenta decurionatus and whose sons and grandsons became equites romani.

Translation |
To Marcus Licinius Privatus, honoured with the insignia of decurio, and first established as bisellarius having made over to the republic (of Ostia) the sum of 50,000 sesterces, quaestor and quinquennalis of the corporation of bakers of Ostia and of Portus, magister quinquennalis of the guild of carpenters/builders during the 29th lustrum (of the guild) and decurio of the same body of the 16th decuria, decurialis scriba librarius, tribulis of the Claudian tribe of fathers and free clients, father and grandfather of decuriones, father of Roman knights. The whole body of footfolk (caligati), of the guild of carpenters/builders of Ostia (have set up this monument) to their best magister for his love and merits. The location has been given publicly by decree of the decuriones.
