CIL 14, 00359
This notable whose name is largely lost was an eques romanus who fulfilled all municipal offices in Ostia and may have been a sacerdos Laurentium Lavinatium.
His missing link to the collegium fabrum is usually restored as patrono, although Meiggs (1973: 320, n. 1) favours praefecto instead, because he wrongly believes that no other patron of the collegium fabrum tignuariorum at Ostia is positively attested (cf. CIL 14, 04656; 05341; ILOP 0002).
Several other praefecti of the guild are documented (CIL 14, 298; 446; AE 1955, 169; and possibly ILOP 2). There are however two other fragmentary inscriptions that appear to document patrons of the guild (CIL 14, 5341 (Q. Baienus Blassianus, P. f., Pup.) and CIL 14, 4656 (A. Livius A. f. [---]).</div>
