Status notes and comments His name occurs among thirteen dignitaries of the 'corpus fabrum navalium Portensium', just before the ordinary quinquennales. So they must either be 'quinquennales perpetui' or 'patroni'. The names, however, suggest a servile background for at least some of them. Among the 'plebeians' of the list, moreover we find a Mindius Mercator iunior, who was presumably the son of one of the dignitaries, and an Ulpius Felix, whose name is also found among the thirteen dignitaries. They were almost certainly 'quinquennales perpetui' rather than 'patroni', therefore.
