CIL 3, 00611

Despite his probably Syrian background and Greek geographic cognomen, Epidamnus gained equestrian status and achieved the highest offices of the colonia of Dyrrhacium. He was aedilis and duumvir quinquennalis, flamen and augur, and was co-opted patron of the city. He also became praefectus perpetuus of the fabri tignuarii of the city, whom he seems to have favoured. They honoured him with a statue, which the city council allowed to be placed on a public location.
|
